Absences
You record vacation, sickness, training and other absences as full days, half days or by the hour. They are credited against your target hours.
Add an absence #
You can add an absence via “+” on the Overview › “Add Absence”, with “Absence” in the calendar day detail, or with “+” under More › Absences.
How to
- Choose the kind of absence under “Type”.
- Under “Period”, set “From” and “To”.
- Choose the “Duration” and optionally add a comment.
- Tap “Save”.
NoteIf the period overlaps with another absence, Timenor shows a notice below “To”. Only one absence counts per day. You can still save.
Full day, half day or hours #
- Full day – the whole daily target is credited.
- Half day – half of the daily target.
- Hours – the “Hours” you enter per day, at most the daily target.
TipEnter half hours with a decimal point or comma, for example “2.5”.
Manage absences #
Under More › Working Hours & Planning › “Absences” you see all entries, newest first. Tap an entry to edit it or to remove it with “Delete Absence”.
CautionSwiping left deletes an absence without asking for confirmation.
NoteAdd only one absence per day. If two overlap, only one of them counts – Timenor points this out in the dialog.
Which type counts towards what? #
On working days, every type is credited against your target hours. Some types also count towards your vacation balance or your sick days.
| Type | Credited to target | Vacation balance | Sick days |
|---|---|---|---|
| “Vacation” | ✓ | ✓ (half day = 0.5) | – |
| “Special leave” | ✓ | – | – |
| “Sick” | ✓ | – | ✓ |
| “Child sick” | ✓ | – | ✓ |
| “Public holiday” | ✓ | – | – |
| “Training” | ✓ | – | – |
| “Business trip” | ✓ | – | – |
| “Unpaid” | ✓ | – | – |
| “Other” | ✓ | – | – |
NoteVacation in hours does not reduce your vacation balance. If an absence falls on a public holiday, the holiday counts.
