Settings & data
Settings
Under “More” you can adapt Timenor: personal data, vacation and initial balances, reminders, location, appearance and language.
Personal data #
Under More › Settings › “Personal Data” you enter your name, email, phone and postal address. Timenor uses these details in the header of the PDF report.
Vacation and initial balances #
Under More › Settings › “Time Tracking”:
- Vacation Days/Year – your annual vacation (0 to 60 days, default 30).
- Usage Start – the cumulative balance and all period balances are calculated from this date, also in the PDF.
- Overtime Carry-over – hours you bring with you, with “+” or “−”.
- Vacation Carry-over – remaining vacation from the previous year, with “+” or “−”. It is added to your annual vacation.
Default project and long session warning #
Above these, you set whether forgotten timers end automatically (see Stop timer automatically).
- Default Project – preselected for new entries you add by hand.
- Long Session Warning – turns the reminder for long-running timers on or off. Use “Warn after” to set the threshold (1 to 24 hours, default 8).
Stop timer automatically #
Under More › Time Tracking, turn on “Stop timer automatically” and under “Stop after” choose 1 to 16 hours (default 6).
- If an entry runs longer, Timenor ends it. The end time is the moment the duration was reached.
- After that, the break rule from the work profile applies.
- You receive the notification “⏹ Timer ended – project name” (see Notifications).
Location tracking #
Turn on “Location Tracking” and under “Capture Time” choose “Start Only”, “End Only” or “Start and End”. Below, you can see whether iOS has granted permission. If it has been denied, “Open” takes you to the iOS Settings.
Appearance and language #
- Color Scheme – “System Default”, “Light” or “Dark”.
- Language – “System Default”, Deutsch, English, Français or Español. The app switches immediately, without restarting. With “System Default”, Timenor follows the iOS language; if that is not available, it uses English.
Calendar display range #
With “Start Time” (00:00 to 12:00) you set where the calendar's time grid is positioned when it opens, and with “End Time” the end of your day. Hours before and after are shaded grey in the calendar. You can still reach all 24 hours by scrolling.
Week starts on #
Under More › Appearance, choose “Monday”, “Saturday” or “Sunday” at “Week starts on”. This determines “7 Days” and “Month” in the calendar, the week card on the Overview, “Week” in Analytics and “This Week” in the export.
