Settings & data
Backup
If you wish, Timenor backs up your data automatically to iCloud and as a file – and restores it with just a few taps.
iCloud backup #
Under More › Backup & iCloud › “iCloud Sync”, “Automatic backup” saves a copy to your iCloud Drive after each completed time recording. Timenor keeps up to 20 versions; older ones are deleted automatically. With “Back up manually now” you can save an additional copy at any time.
Under “Saved versions”, tap a copy and confirm with “Restore”. This replaces all current data on the device.
Create a backup file #
Under More › Backup & iCloud › “Backup File”, “Create & Share Backup” creates a .timenor file with all projects, entries, absences, holidays and settings. Use the share sheet to save it to the Files app or send it by email or AirDrop.
Restore from a file #
You can also tap a .timenor file directly in the Files app, in Mail or after AirDrop (see Open a backup with Timenor).
How to
- Tap “Import Backup”.
- Select the .timenor file.
- Confirm “Restore Data?” with “Restore”.
Open a backup with Timenor #
