Projects & planning

Projects

Projects group your times per job – with client, colour, hourly rate and the rule for how time is billed.

The project list #

The “Projects” tab shows “Active Projects” and, below them, “Inactive Projects”. Each row shows colour, name, client, the hours recorded so far and the billing mode.

Create and edit a project #

How to

  1. Tap “+” at the top right (to edit: tap a project).
  2. Enter the “Project Name” (required) and optionally “Client” and “Description”.
  3. Under “Billing”, set the billing mode and optionally the “Hourly Rate (€)”.
  4. Choose a “Color” – one of the 14 presets or your own from the colour wheel.

Billing mode and hourly rate #

The billing mode determines how Timenor rounds each individual booking for the billable time. Rounding is always up.

  • With an “Hourly Rate (€)”, Analytics calculates the estimated revenue: billable time × hourly rate.
  • Target, actual and balances are always calculated with the unrounded raw time.
ModeExample: 1 h 07 min becomes …
“To the minute”1 h 07 min
“Quarter hour”1 h 15 min
“Half hour”1 h 30 min
“Full hour”2 h

Active or inactive project #

Use the “Project Active” switch to retire a completed project. Inactive projects no longer appear in the project selection for the timer and entries, but their bookings remain in lists, Analytics and export. You can reactivate them at any time.

NoteIn the free version, Timenor checks the project limit when you reactivate a project. If the limit is reached, the project stays inactive and the Pro screen opens.

Delete a project #

Open the project, tap “Delete Project” and confirm. All existing bookings are kept. Afterwards they show “No Project”.

TipIf you want to keep the assignment, set the project to inactive instead.
