Tracking time

Calendar

The calendar shows your times in a time grid – optionally together with your iOS events, holidays and absences.

Choose a view #

Use the column icon at the top right to switch between “Month”, “7 Days”, “5 Days” (Monday to Friday), “2 Days” and “Day”. When it opens, the calendar shows “7 Days”. “7 Days” and “Month” begin with your week start (More › Appearance › “Week starts on”).

  • Time entries appear as coloured blocks in the project colour, with start time, project and comment.
  • iOS events appear as outlined blocks in the calendar colour.
  • Holidays and absences tint the day and are shown in the day heading.
  • The red line marks the current time.

Browse and jump to today #

  • Use ‹ and › to move one period forward or back. In the day views you can also swipe sideways.
  • “Today” or a tap on the title takes you back to the current period.
  • In the time grid you can scroll through all 24 hours. When it opens, it is positioned at the “Start Time” from More › Appearance. Hours before the “Start Time” and after the “End Time” are shaded grey.
  • “2 Days” starts with the selected day – after “Today”, that is today.

Month view and day detail #

The month view shows the calendar weeks (“Wk”) and a status dot for each day. Tap a day to see the day detail below: recorded time “of” target, holiday or absence, and all entries of the day.

  • In the day detail, “Absence” adds an absence for that day. “Add Time” opens “New Entry” for this day – today with the current time, on other days with the calendar's “Start Time”.
  • In the month view, change the month with ‹ and › or by swiping across the weekday row.

Add from the grid #

In a day or week view, tap into a day column. Timenor opens “New Entry” with this day and the time you tapped, rounded down to the quarter hour (13:52 → 13:45).

NoteTapping an existing block also creates a new entry. To edit an entry, open it from one of the booking lists.

Show iOS events #

Tap the calendar icon at the top left. The first time, tap “Allow Access” to give read access to your iOS calendar. Then switch on, for each calendar, whether its events appear in the grid.

  • Timenor only reads your events. It does not write any working times to your calendar.
  • All-day events are shown at the top of the day heading. If there are more than two, tap “+1”, “+2” … to expand or collapse them all.
